Déda is happy to announce that we will be fully reopening our doors to the public from 17 May subject to the government restrictions lifting as outlined in the road map.
Thank you for all of the messages of support and interest that you have sent us over the past year.
We have been busily working behind the scenes to plan an exciting programme for our community and we are delighted to share some details of what summer at Déda will look like:
-Déda’s Café | Bar will reopen to the public from May and will offer takeaway to our Déda | Academy class customers on Saturdays from April
-FORMAT Festival will return to our gallery space in May
-Derby Book Festival events return to Déda in May and June, with tickets available to book from Thursday 29 April
-Déda | Academy courses will continue in our studios
-Déda will run some in-person adult classes in our studios from May
-We welcome artists for residencies in our theatre including Toussaint to Move in May
-We will launch Déda on Demand, a brand-new recorded series of dance classes
-Our Dance BA Honours degree students will work with artists including Toussaint to Move, Jane Mason and Johnny Autin in May
-Déda's Dance Development and Learning team will be busy working with schools and the community
-We are in the process of recruiting a mural artist(s) as part of a campaign to transform Chapel Street over the course of the summer
