U Dance is a national platform that sees young people offered excellent opportunities to take part in dance including workshops and performance platforms all over England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. This academic year there will be 2 separate opportunities for those in the Midlands region to apply for the U Dance National Festival, which will be held in July 2022.
The first opportunity, 'U.Dance on Stage’ is for those wishing to create and perform live on stage, whilst the second opportunity, ‘My Dance on Screen’ is created specifically for on screen performers. Both opportunities will involve submitting an application and a video of a finished dance piece. Submissions for 'My Dance on Screen' will also be welcomed with the opportunity to be part of Dance 4's feature film as well as the chance to be selected for U.Dance On Screen at the U.Dance National Festival.
No genre is excluded and all groups and individuals from all backgrounds and disciplines are invited to take part in this opportunity.
