Following the introduction of Sarah Butler's Derby Open Contemporary Classes in March, Sarah now has a number of dates available for her classes in June.
The Open Contemporary Class is for all dance artists and movers working in all areas of the dance industry. This June, Sarah's classes will be lead by Sarah herself and freelance dance artist Daniel Longhurst.

"l am a freelance dance artist based in Derby who has worked as a performer and facilitator across the country. From my roots into dance starting within breakdance, I have taken a physicality and housed it within my contemporary practice. My work surrounds inclusivity and has played with physicalising traits and behaviours found within my brother who is nonverbal autistic, recently being funded in residence for this at LEVEL Centre in Rowsley."
Class description:
"My sessions will be a mix of high tempo sequences and calmer, more grounded moments. A variety musically. The class will have choices for those who may want to tap into the more daring moves, whilst still providing the attention to detail for the less fanatic moments... Aimed for all, and there to meet your comfort and access - but if you fancy the challenge and to try new moves, we will do just that."
