Abbie began dancing at the age of 5, taking examinations in ballet, tap, modern whilst also doing jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and street dance too! Through her dancing journey she gained ballet and tap scholarships, performed as part of English Youth Ballet, danced in pantomimes and dance shows, and competed in competitions across the country.
She studied 5 A levels including dance and drama and decided to further her studies at University of Leeds in 2010. Whilst doing her degree, she did a placement year at Dèda. As a dance artist she also taught GCSE and A Level dance/performing arts students at Saint Benedict School. Once graduating, she started teaching dance and yoga in nurseries, primary and secondary schools across Derby and Derbyshire alongside teaching in dance schools and for Dèda.
She loves to teach ballet, lyrical, contemporary, commercial and dance fitness with these being styles she's always enjoyed herself and being able to push students to build their technique, performance and their own choreography.
